Four point contact screw bearing

Four point contact screw bearing is a separate type bearing composed of two and a half rings. It is a set of angular contact ball bearings that can withstand bidirectional axial loads. The outer ring raceway has a peach shaped cross-section. When there is no load or pure radial load, the steel ball and the ring present a four point contact, which is also the reason for this name. The bearing can be divided into two types according to the closed form: closed and non closed. According to the arrangement of steel balls, it can be divided into two types: closely arranged steel balls (without retainers) and with retainers. Generally used on hydraulic assisted power steering machines, the inner race of which is machined on the steering machine screw.
